Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Clinic

The Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Clinic provides comprehensive evaluations for children and adolescents presenting with possible characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. A team-based interdisciplinary approach is utilized for evaluations in order to obtain the most comprehensive assessment possible. At Mitchell’s Place, we believe that unlocking the potential of children diagnosed begins with a thorough examination of all components of development. A multidisciplinary evaluation of psychological, linguistic, cognitive, sensory-motor, and social-adaptive development allows the assessment team to determine the child’s strengths and needs. Based on its findings, the team is able to recommend effective intervention strategies that support development and maximize potential.

Evaluations are scheduled on Tuesday or Thursday mornings beginning at 9am and finishing around 12 noon. Once the evaluation is complete, the evaluation team will meet one week later (at 12 noon) with the caregivers to discuss the results of the evaluation and recommendations for intervention. Some variations in scheduling may occur.
